ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a $3.75 million federal grant to enhance treatment and prevention of stroke.

According to the governor's office, stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the state and is responsible for more than 6,000 deaths each year.
