CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Board of Public Works and Safety approved a grant agreement between the City of Crawfordsville and the State of Indiana for the Community Paramedic Pilot Program.

Crawfordsville EMS Division Chief Paul Miller said the $157,970 grant will allow the Crawfordsville Fire Department the chance to get the state’s Community Paramedic Pilot Program off the ground. In Oct. 2015 the Montgomery County Community Foundation also gave the CFD grant money to purchase a vehicle for the program.

“It gives us the ability to expand on our program and our ability to train and deliver services to the community,” Miller said. “The state has identified our department as the one best fit to deliver a pilot program for the state.”
