DAVENPORT, Iowa — MEDIC EMS in the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois received a $75K grant for ventilator and monitor mounting systems for their ambulances from the Scott Regional Authority.

The funds were used to install Technimount Systems in all 19 MEDIC ambulances, WQAD 8 reported.

These mounting systems will be used to secure ventilators and cardiac monitors in the ambulances, ensuring safer transport for patients and staff. Cardiac monitors have already been securely mounted and the ventilators are expected to be done by the fall of this year.

Securing equipment not only protects patients and EMS personnel from injury but also prevents damage to equipment.
