WAYNESBORO, Va. — A $162,000 grant will help cover half the cost of a new ambulance for the Waynesboro First Aid Crew.

The Virginia Department of Health’s Office of Emergency Medical Services awarded the grant from its Rescue Squad Assistance Fund.

The money will be matched locally in order to cover the cost of a new Demers MXP150 ambulance .


The grant money requires the ambulance be available for use 24/7.
