Overview:

The Ben Roethlishberger Foundation, founded by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, welcomes grant inquires for foundation support. The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation will disperse grants to police and fire departments' canine units throughout the United States.

Eligiblity:

Police and fire departments’ K-9 units in Pittsburgh, PA and in the city of each regular season away game for the Steelers in the 2011-12 season are eligible. New in 2011, if the Steelers make the playoffs, BRF will also award grants to two cities anywhere in the U.S. that would not otherwise be eligible. The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation can only distribute grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations. Although police and fire departments are tax-exempt organizations, they may not have a 501(c)(3) designation and thus, must show support from a 501(c)(3) organization to receive funding.
