Amount: $30,000
Application Due Date: TBA

Description:

Overview:

In 2005, The Georgia General Assembly created a new state grant program to benefit local law enforcement and fire service agencies. By the nature of this program, only local governemnt agencies are eligible to apply. If an award is made, it must be administered by a local government. Only counties meeting the One Georgia (onegeogia.org) definition of eligibility shall be considered for funding. The population of the county must be less than 50,000 and the county should have a poverty level greater than 10% at the time of the award. No more than one grant shall be awarded per year, per county geographic boundary. However, cities within a county and the county may either compete against each other for a grant or submit a combined application for a maximum award of $30,000.
