COMMUNITIES AT RISK (CAR)
PROGRAM TITLE Communities at Risk (CAR) - Administered by Interior Agencies; Sponsors: Bureau of Land Management and the US Fish & Wildlife Service

DESCRIPTIONS BLM and USFWS program for Wildland Urban Interface Projects for Idaho's Communities at risk from wildfire.


RECIPIENTS Variety of partners, including counties, city government, fire departments, not-for-profit entities, Local Emergency Planning Committees and others.

OBJECTIVES Assistance to communities for development of county and community plans to develop hazardous fuels reduction projects in the Wildland Urban Interface and public education. Includes dollars for assessments and mitigation planning.

MATCH REQUIREMENTS No match required. Funding is usually provided through assistance agreements to local entities.

WEBSITES/APPLICATION FORMS No forms are necessary. Funds are provided through local BLM and USFWS assistance agreements.
