TRENTON, Mich. — A representative of U.S. Sen. Carl Levin's office confirmed Thursday that the Trenton Fire Department is poised to receive $736,410 in grant money from the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters grant program.
“It is vital that we maintain the fire protection our citizens need,” Levin said in a release. “These grants will help the fire departments in Trenton and Wyandotte hire more first responders to protect their communities when an emergency strikes.”
The Wyandotte Fire Department is set to receive $616,876.
