Fire dept. applying for grant to build 'relaxation area'

EPPING, Australia — Volunteer firefighters in Epping hope to boost camaraderie this fire season with a little help from Leader Local Grants.
The brigade is applying for a $1000 grant to set up an outdoor members' area where volunteers can debrief and relax after spending hours fighting fires.
The money would be used to buy chairs, a table and a shade sail for the O'Herns Rd fire station.
